Roof style

Width is the end with the peak. Leg height is measured to where the roof starts.

Get the height and length right

Measure before you order. Most mistakes with RV covers come from guessing the height.

  • Measure to the highest point

    Include the air conditioner, antenna, vents and ladder. Then add at least a foot for the leg height, measured to where the roof starts.

  • Add length at both ends

    Give yourself several feet beyond the hitch and the rear bumper so the ends stay covered when rain blows in.

  • Enclosed? Check the door

    An RV garage needs a roll-up door tall enough for your rig, and legs 2' taller than the door for doors 12' and larger.

What will it sit on?

Open buildings can go on concrete, asphalt, gravel or level ground. Each surface uses a different anchor, and every one needs to be level within 3". Enclosed buildings do best on a concrete pad.

How tall should my RV cover be?

Measure your RV to its highest point, including the air conditioner and antenna, and add at least a foot. 14' legs clear most motorhomes and fifth-wheels; taller rigs need 16' or more.

Do the side panels matter?

Gable panels on the ends and 3' panels along the top of the sides add shade and rain cover while leaving it open to back in. You can also fully enclose it as an RV garage with a roll-up door.

Can it go on gravel?

Yes. RV covers often sit on compacted gravel with earth auger anchors along each base rail. An enclosed RV garage does best on a concrete pad.

Do I need a permit?

Many counties require one. We check your county's requirements before you pay a deposit and can provide certified drawings for your permit application.
