It opens as a 40' × 60' shop with two 12' × 12' doors. Size it, place doors and windows and pick your colors. The build sheet lists the concrete pad and anchors to plan for.

Width is the end with the peak. Leg height is measured to where the roof starts.

What to plan for

Commercial buildings go through more review than a home garage. These are the pieces we'll work through with you.

  • Clear-span interior

    No interior posts, so the whole floor is usable for vehicles, racking or equipment.

  • Large doors

    Roll-up doors up to 14' × 14' on the ends or sides, with legs tall enough to clear them.

  • Certified drawings

    Wind and snow certification and engineered drawings are available for most counties, for your permit application.

  • Foundation

    A concrete slab sized to the frame. The designer's build sheet gives a starting pad size; your engineer and local code set the final design.

  • Insulation

    Double bubble foil or 2" fiberglass for heated or occupied space.

  • Frame

    14-gauge steel frame standard, with a 12-gauge heavy-duty upgrade.

How a commercial project works

Same process as every building we sell, with the permit and foundation steps up front.

  1. Scope the building

    Size, doors, use and location. We confirm the wind and snow loads for your county.

  2. Price and drawings

    You get an itemized quote and a drawing of your building. Nothing is ordered until you sign off.

  3. Permit and foundation

    We check your county's requirements before we take a deposit. Your slab is poured to the drawings.

  4. Delivery and installation

    The crew builds on your prepared site. Deposit, balance and refund terms are written on your order.

Do commercial buildings need engineered drawings?

Usually, yes. Most counties want certified drawings for a commercial permit. Wind and snow certification and engineered drawings are available for most counties.

What foundation do I need?

A concrete slab, designed for your building and local code. Pad size, thickness and footings depend on the building and your county, so plan on your engineer or contractor confirming the final design.

How long does a commercial project take?

It depends on the size, permits and foundation. We give you an estimated install window with your quote and confirm the date once your site is ready.

Is financing available for businesses?

Financing is available on most buildings, subject to approval. Ask about terms for your business when we send your quote.
