Design your garage in 3D
It opens as a two-car garage. Change the size, place doors and windows, add a lean-to for storage and pick your colors. The build sheet lists the concrete pad and anchors you'll need.

Every garage is made to order. These are the choices you'll make with your building specialist, and you can try all of them in the designer first.

Roll-up doors
Sizes from 6' × 7' up to 14' × 14', on the end or along the side. Door height sets how tall the walls need to be.

Walk-in doors and windows
36" × 80" walk-in doors and 24" × 30" or 30" × 36" windows, placed where you want them.

Roof style
A vertical roof is recommended for enclosed garages. The panels run top to bottom, so rain, snow and leaves slide straight off.

Double bubble foil or 2" fiberglass under the roof and walls, for a garage you'll work in or park in year-round.

A roll-up door needs about 12" above the opening for the coil, or 24" for doors 12' and larger. Your specialist confirms heights on your drawing.

How tall should my garage walls be?
Pick your roll-up door first. The legs need to be at least 1' taller than the door, or 2' taller for doors 12' and larger, to leave room for the door to roll up. The door headroom table above lists each size, and the designer warns you if a door won't fit.
Do I need a concrete slab?
It's the best base for an enclosed garage: it keeps the floor dry and anchors the building best. Most installers want the pad 6" longer and wider than the frame (or a flush-mount kit if the slab is poured to the exact frame size), at least 4" thick at 2,500 PSI, and level within 3". The designer's build sheet works out the pad size and concrete to order.
Which roof style should I choose?
For an enclosed garage we recommend the vertical roof. Its panels run top to bottom so water and debris slide off, and it's the usual choice for any building over 36' long. Regular and boxed eave roofs cost less and suit mild weather.
Can I insulate my garage?
Yes. Choose double bubble foil or 2" fiberglass in the designer's Options step and it's listed on your build sheet. Your specialist can explain the difference for how you'll use the garage.
Do I need a permit?
Many counties require one, especially for enclosed buildings. We check your county's requirements before you pay a deposit and can provide certified drawings for your permit application.
What does "W × L × H" mean?
Width is the gable end, where the doors usually go. Length runs front to back. Height is the leg or wall height, measured from the ground to where the roof starts.
